Mike Cushwa has owned and operated Decatur Paint & Body Inc. since 1990. Mike built Decatur Paint & Body on personalized service, providing collision repair and vintage vehicle restoration. Mike started out in the "car business" at age 14 by building a dune buggy out of a car that had been donated to him using his parent's garage as his shop. In 1973, he got his first official job at Earl Schieb's, home of the $29.95 paint job! He was the Painter's Helper. One day the painter didn't show up, so the boss put a paint gun in Mike's hand and its' been history ever since . Mike has won awards in the "Best Paint Category" in car shows across the country. He is I-Car Trained, and is an ASE (automotive service excellence) Certified Master Technician. His love and passion for cars have made him an integral part of the Automotive Industry for over 30 years.

Angie Cushwa, Mike's wife joined him in 2004, as Administrative and Marketing Manager. Before coming to Decatur Paint & Body, Angie was one of the pioneers of the cellular industry. She worked at Pactel Cellular, back in the days of "bag phones" and "car phones". She worked in credit, customer service, and collections, and was later promoted to New Hire Trainer and Supervisor. Throughout her career, Angie learned the importance of giving the best service possible to each and every customer. Mike and Angie both believe that unmatched customer service is a crucial element for success. Thus, since 1990, they have earned the reputation of A+ customer service, one customer at a time.
